cops at the house, wtf?

Today was some surprise. I stayed home for a Dr's appt. this afternoon.
As I was ready to leave, a ring at the doorbell.
I went out to find 3 local police cars and three officers all seemingly like they were in riot gear.
I asked them what they wanted.
The guy said, "Oh, well we saw the car door open on this car in the driveway and came to investigate."
I said, "Oh, well, I just left it open and closed the garage planning to come right out but decided to change the laundry."
They asked to see my licence, I showed it to them. The guy wrote it down.
Really pisses me off.
Elaine knew I was home today.
I called her and told her what happened and said, "You have received no threat from me nor will you, and if this is your doing then it is totally wrong."
She said she had, "Nothing to do with it."
I wonder if her boyfriend can say the same.

I'm going to call my cop friend to see if he can find out the actual call.
Is there another way to find out?
 
Yeah they always send SWAT to investigate car doors left open in driveways.
 
Whole thing sounds ridiculous to me .......

She doesnt what you do anymore. When you start realizing that what she does isnt important anymore and stop worrying about her breaking somehting off in your ass then and only then will you start living your new life.
Let it go . Move on . Call it a Fluke .....

You might be surprised at just what all they do notice and just not mention it!!! remember their trained to notice shit most people miss like open car doors,etc!
I wouldn't be out driving after having a glass of wine just incase that's what their waiting on...lol
 
Maybe you're just looking a whole lot bigger than you think you do, and the "boys" weren't goin near ya without their riot gear. ;-) As Freezer Dude said . . . "their trained to notice shit . . . " I can hear it now: " I aint goin near that Guy . . . you see the size of him when he left that car door open- lets play safe and put on some riot gear." lol
 
I would be glad they were concerned. It does seem a little off when there is an empty car with the door sitting open.
 
Hell once they saw me it was like, "Hell, I seen that guy 100 times working on his lawn!" Must be up to no good!

That's the f*cked up thing, I didn't look. I thought it was my mother-in-law from up the street. Just opened the door, saw the cops, came out and shut it behind me.
There was no hiding from three of them and I wanted to know what the hell was going on?

I'll never leave my car door open again!
 
Found out something from a girl at the cop shop today.
She said the report just said checking out a door left open in the driveway. I have older perople around me. Understandable.
And, ah, oh-wa, what Irish said!

Lol ..Old folks retirment village ,maybe a nursing home ,,,,this explains alot of your threads ..let them know they need to get your Meds straightned out :unno:
