Credit Card- Reward Points??

Are any of you guys into this? I'm planning on booking a vacation later in the year, and I have heard of people getting great deals through their credit card reward points system? For example, such as free air travel and free hotel stays. I heard the Chase Sapphire Preferred is one of the most recommended. Any other recommendations or strategies you guys used to get the best deals possible?

I forget which one the wifey has, but since the daughter goes to college in a different state.. she uses her credit card to buy everything, but puts the money aside to pay off the debt each month so no interest charges.. that way, she gets flights for free.
The disipline is.. to pay off charges before interest.

I get the cashback option, but it's pretty good. I have it for my business, so the way I look at it, is you get free money to spend, what you would normally spend anyway. Instead of just spending, they pay you to use their card instead. Then just pay the bill in full every month, and they don't make anything off of you, but still have to give you the rewards.
