Watching cartoons with my sick 7 year old, I kept hearing this commercial for "My Little Pony."
Turns out, they use the same marketing as "Dos Equis," you know, where the old guy says stuff like, "If you've never had a dangerous affair, you need to have one."
That kind of stuff is appropriate for adults, but to use it for little kid's programming?
At the end of the commercial, a female pony in a beret says, "Always be pony," just like the guy says at the end of the Dow Equis commercial (but he obviously doesn't say 'pony.') He says, "And remember, my friend, always be _________." Can't remember, because now all I can think of is to "always be pony!"
Even my 7 nyear old daughter said, "It doesn't make any sense."
It does if you see the connection to the beer commercial.
Selling beer to kids, hell, don't they know the kids discover it on their own well enough.
F-ing HUB Channel!
