I Phone or Driod

OK so you guys know I'm an old fart. As us old farts are prone to do I resist change. When cell phones first came out I swore I'd never have one of those confounded things. Now I wonder what I did without it all thiose years ago.
I had Alltell for a provider and bought a razor phone a number of years ago. It's a great phone. Works great, take a licking and keeps on ticking so to speak. But since Sprint bought out Altell they have been on me to upgrade. They even cancelled my ability to send picture messages because my phone is too low tech.
I keep getting offers from them for a free I5 with a $30 transfer fee and $60 a month unlimited 4g data, if I said that right.
But they also are offering me some of the droids, like the galaxy and two others. I don't know enough about these phones to remember what they are.
So, here's the deal. I am a low tech, computer illiterate biker dude from the '70's who somehow survived to live in the 2000's. I don't know squat about these phones.
What are you guys prefrences and why?
My job is on me to update, my wife, my kids, even my grandkids who are just runts are telling me to get with it.
Droid or I phone? What do you guys think?

I'm a droid man myself, I have the shrinkage plan with boost mobile and just bought my wife and I a new S3 last week and I love it and would change for anything.. Not to mention I get 4g service for 35$ a month so I paid $399 each for the phones but the price plan is awesome!! 70$ for 2 phones And NO CONTRACTS!

AGREED! DROID ALL THE WAY! screw mac/iphone and their elitist ways. you can do more with a DROID if you have some basic pc skills/knowledge.

i paid just under 200 for my droid smart phone and is does everything i need to to AND i have 32g free space...

ill never spend more then 200-300$ on a phone...

iphone user here, I like it, it didn't take me long to get used to it. I use it for everything, music, bills, email, pictures and video. rarely now do I find myself on a computer or lap top.

I personally couldn't use the iphone for video or web browsing. The screen is to small IMO..

I will probably get an iPhone for my next work phone just because the company stuff will probably be updated and rolled out quicker for iOS.

I just bought one of the new Nexus 7 tablet that came out with Jelly Bean 4.3 and it is damn good. I use my wife's iPad sometimes and the Android hangs with it in features and costs $100 less.

Bro, Im old too and have no idea what you are talking about.
But I have an Iphone. It can wash windows and probably drive a car, but I only know how to use some of it. What I can use is really great. I remember when my job required me to learn how to use e-mail. Its amazing really even the small changes Ive made.

I had the blackberry Tour for a long time and was used to it and then it broke for the final time. I upgraded to and Iphone as I don't know better and I love it. I can not say anything about a droid at all..

I would go the droid but for you buf. The iPhone will be MUCH easier. The galaxy s4 is way to complicated. All you need is calls-messages-notes-porn!
iPhone is your best bet if ur big ole fingers cam hit the buttons haha

I wound up getting a Sumsung Galaxy 4, only because the screen was bigger and at my age my eye sight isn't what it used to be. It's more smart phone than I can handle to be honest. Like giving a 16 year old a new Lotus or Lamborghinni.

I have the same phone and love it. I like the size of it because I have some big ass gorilla paws for hands. But over all DROID hands down, especially whens its been unlocked and rooted, then the possiablilties and capabilities of the phone are even better. I just can't by into apples marketing gimmicks. The only thing apple we own is an itouch that my daughter uses.

Im a geek freak so I?ve used both Android and Iphone and I prefer Iphone. If you can jailbreak it its AWESOME!!! I got a Nokia Lumia 1020 2 weeks ago mainly because has a 41MP camera and I take lots of pics everyday for my work and I need the pics to be high-resolution. I dont like the OS from Nokia. Its windows mobile 8. Its ok. Has Viber, Skype, Whatsapp, TripIt, Amazon Kindle, my home banking app and thats all it matter but with my iphone I had TONS of apps and I like the way apple connect all your diveces with icloud but one of the features I miss most from Iphone is FaceTime. My parents live in Brazil and my GF lives in Greece and I live in Portugal so I used a lot everyday more than once so now I have to carry my Ipad with me everywhere I go so when they call me on FaceTime I can pick up the call. Its weird but my family and my GF got used to only call me using video call but I like it I sold my iphone 5 to buy the Nokia Lumia 1020. Im regret in a way but Im trying hard not to buy the new Iphone 5S because Im trying to become minamilist owning less stuff.
