We went to the tatoo shop after a long time of talking about it. She's had the same idea for about 8 months so we were all go. She got her's on her lower back...I think the artist liked her thong. I got the same tat on the upper traps in the middle. Pretty cool. Its a Japanese kanji for "whole,complete." Appropriate since we both are completed by each other in that way only a special someone can.
 
i think its cool that you too got matching tats.....i cant wait to get some ink....
 
Very cool ya'll have the same one. I've got a doozy wrapped around my left ankle and I have to say that getting a tat on a bony area hurts like a motherf*^#er! Should I get a third one its gonna be on some place nicely padded... :bootyshak
 
Interesting you should mention tattoos... I have decided I need a new one (to go with the new piercing and the new shaved head look) ;) j/k I have actually been planning on a new one for quite some time - just haven't been able to narrow the ideas down.
I know it is going to go on my left pec... and I am kind of torn between a large eye of horus symbol or a chaos star - I've wanted to do the star since high school when Testament's CD with the chaos star on the disc came out...
I ran across the idea below while looking for decent pictures... and I think that is the design I may go for.
This idea here: www.ptaaron.com/hearttattoo.jpg was an idea I also came up with using lyrics from the nine inch nails song "somewhat damaged" ... I think the idea is pretty cool - but I think I would probably regret getting that tattooed on my chest when I finally get out of this fun phase I'm in ;)
 
nice tat future- is that your wife or your girlfriend that got matching tats with you?
that is awsome that you found someone that makes you feel complete but isn;t there an old saying that if you get matching tats or someones name tatted on its kinda like the kiss of death for the relationship??
 
I dont listen to old sayings...cause it's usually from some negative person that screwed up their own life. :)

It didn't hurt too bad until he started to go right over my spine. Then I felt a little sick.
 
nice1. At 1st I was thinking about simbols,but end up with that dragon :D...it's still healing.

i have my left calf covered...japanese style - koi fish in troubled waters, with flowers and leaves...i have yet to get it colored though
 
here, i found the old pics that i took of it...i think these were like 6 months after i had it done or something?

yeah, i'll post pics whenever i do get it colored, which is gonna be a while, as i have to let my <broken> ankle heal first
 
I will post some of mine soon. Not very "typical" tats but, they are almost all MY ARTWORK. I use my body as more of a canvas for my artwork than for a specific meaningful piece of art. I suppose in that sense it is meaningful because it is expressing everything in my head when I create a piece.

I remember when I first got my gun when I was like 14 I just started going off on my leg not having a CLUE of what I was doing or how ot do it right. kinda funny now.
 
that is cool, you and yer lady future. Must really be special to do somethin like that.
 
I saw this dude who had a girls name on his neck with a red "VOID" stamp over it. halrious
