Three weeks ago I quit smoking cold turkey. Two packs a day. What I did was first I switched to natural tobacco to rid my body of all the extra 10000 or so chemicals they put in regular cigarettes so that I could wean myself off of them, then on a monday night I went to bed and woke up and never touched one again.
And unlike the previous times I "tried to quit" I have had NO social cigarettes at the bar, or "only when I am drinking" or any of that other bullshit that I did before. I chew Orbit gum instead lol.
I am never touching a cigarette again, ever. Not even socially. I have been around people smoking a lot, and the idea of a cigarette disgusts me, even when I have had a few.
I feel so much better having this poison out of my body. I came to a realization that I am 28 years old and if I don't quit now, I am going to die. No more procrastination, I either stop this shit NOW or die slow painful death later, those are my choices. Plus, two packs of American Spirits a day was costing me a pretty penny.
