Hey guys, I know I haven't been here for a while. Life of a contractor keeps me slammed, but I did want to fill you guys in on some things going on. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer two months ago. It's been a lot of procedures and doctors' visits. I wanted to let you guys know and even ask has anyone here been through this? Unfortunately, my doctor has told me that Test helps the cancer grow like wild fire, so I haven't taking any test, or anything else for that matter. I've been on test for years. It sucks not being able to use it, especially at 55 years old.

They are scheduling removing my prostate this month since the cancer hasn't spread to any other areas. Which I'm thankful for. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this here and is test after they remove my prostate an option? First and foremost, I want to live. I have a granddaughter now and definitely want to be able to see her grow up. The cancer has made me incredibly tired all the time. I'm hoping my energy levels will get back to normal after the surgery.

Just like many of you, working out has been a life cycle for me. I do want to be able to take test again, but not at the risk of issues. Just wondering is that even an option going forward. Thanks for any feedback!

Sorry to hear this brother ! Taking it out is the best thing to do ( that's what I would do) . I would avoid sugar for sure as much as possible IMO. I will look into more information for you bro ! keep your head up and keep strong

Sorry to hear about this, brother..but cancer is a rough thing for anyone to experience. Hope it all goes well for you in the end.

Stay strong and fight the good fight!

Maybe you should look for a doctor who has knowledge of prostate cancer in this century. E2 is the major culprit in prostate cancer, testosterone can convert to E2 unless you use an antir-e with it. I posted several articles in the medical article section on testosterone and prostate cancer. I know what you are going through, the 26th of this month will be 2 years since I was diagnosed with aggressive pancreatic cancer.

I appreciate the positive feedback. I guess I'm asking with my prostate removed. Is it safe to get back on test?

Ahh I’m sorry Zeke. Prayers your way man!
Stay strong and hope it all goes well for you!

Just an update. Went back for my 3 month check up and PSA's still at zero! (Yaaaaaa!)

I have bph but my psa's are always almost nothing. In your experience have you learned of any other indicators? Or are you pa's levels the best means of detection?
