I know Soda is not good for you. I do not drink regular soda at all due to the sugar. But I have cravings for soda pretty regularly. Thoughts on this? Bad for the diet? I am pretty on point with the food, just wanted to ask about the diet soda thing. Should I cut it completely or is it ok? Im drinking one every day or so.

The diet stuff screws up my stomach. I don't drink much soda. I don't do real well with fructose either. Some people tolerated it no problem. Me not so much.

What's soda? Are you guys talking about pop?

Idk that one a day will hurt anyone. I've heard all kinds of things though. It couldn't be as bad as putting tren or Anadrol in your body :)

Not too often do I have soda, but when I was a teenager looking to pack on weight I had a coca cola before bed every night with a meal for the theory of slowing digestion

I'll have on every now an then in the morning in place of coffee.

That is funny because my home town called it pop. When I got to the big city they called it soda and they thought I was a hick. :)

My doc who is a bodybuilding doc told me it is really poor. My favorite drink is coca cola and I can feel the electricity of the stuff go through me when I drink it. Hardly ever drink alcohol. But since he said it was harming my program, I stopped. I go months at a time without one. Sometimes I allow one post workout on leg day...but rarely. If my master says no. No is no.

I drink diet sodas all day long...usually Diet Pepsi, but my favorite is diet dr. pepper and squirt and A&W root beer:)

Nothing wrong with diet pop. The regular has way to much sugar. Diet pop is better than fruit juice if you want to remain lean.

Thanks guys. Diet soda doesnt bother me at all. Im just wondering with the things I am reading about it and how it impacts diet if I should cut it from the diet completely. I do drink coffee as well. I think I am going to TRY to cut it out for a while and not drink it at all.

Try life without it. Maybe just occasional. We say a million times on here all bodies are different but its true. Maybe you can drink soda and look good. Experiment. I just can't if I want the look I want. Carb sensitive and straight sugars are physique wrecking for me.

I read an article (cant recall the site) where it stated artificial sweetners can affect certain bacteria in stomach, which inturn affected the bodies ability to sense when one is full. To what degree this senae was effected i cant recall. Basically claims were made that one was more likely to over eat while consuming artifical sweetners.

I seen a few studies that said something like that, if you look how the study was done. it was truly fucked up. One recent study said drinking diet soda makes you eat more because one out every five diet soda drinkers is fat, wtf????

I don't drink soda or pop, lol. Every once in a great while I will have some of that raspberry ice tea but that's about it. I drink sweet tea once in a while too. Other than that its water, coffee and almond milk for me. I also don't believe the labels on diet soda. There is IMO still sugar in it. I don't have any studies on that, just my opinion. Also they were putting something in soda and pop that is poison....

that is for sure. There are some "healthier?" options from health food stores that get around the fructose and some of the more questionable ingredients.

An occasional probably won't do too much bad. I'll have a diet occasionally instead of a cup of coffee or a regular if i'm looking for a sugar boost too.
