One thing nobody really prepares you for when you’re enhanced is how much easier it is to get triggered by stupid behavior. Rude people, disrespect, slick comments things you might normally brush off suddenly feel way more personal. Not because you’re weak, but because hormones can shorten the temper.

I’ve had to learn that not every reaction deserves a response. When gear is in the mix, reacting off emotion is usually the wrong move. The key for me has been creating a pause. Take a breath. Walk away. Give it a minute before saying anything. Most situations lose their power once you don’t feed them.

I also remind myself that staying calm is a form of control. Losing your cool gives someone else power over you, and that’s never worth it. The gym helps, but I don’t use it as an excuse to carry aggression everywhere. Training is where intensity belongs. Real life requires restraint.

Being enhanced doesn’t give you a pass to act reckless. It puts more responsibility on you to stay level headed. Strength isn’t snapping back it’s knowing you could, and choosing not to.

How do you handle disrespect or rude people while on gear without letting it escalate? What keeps you calm when emotions are running hotter than usual?

I have never let my use of anabolic steroids be an excuse and have never bought into this "roid rage" crap. I think it is just an excuse used by some to be an asshole. Same thing with drinking alcohol. However, I worked in nightclubs for 21 years of my life and was forced to solve a lot of asshole's issues. I don't talk a lot, remain emotionless, keep my voice down, and will not argue with an asshole or a drunk. Just don't fuck up and put a hand on me. I always told drunks and assholes 1 time what to do, and it was their choice after that what the end result would be.

^Ive always said the same pretty much. “Roid Rage” is just an excuse for an asshole to be an even bigger asshole. As adults if we aren’t capable of controlling our emotions, we shouldn’t be using AAS.

Staying calm is my go-to for dealing with a most situations now. I enjoy figuring things out even in a heated situation, I'll keep my mouth shut, listen and watch. Being almost 60 yrs old now I never have altercations, I'm to laid back and I just don't give a fuck about anything anymore. If someone cuts me off, fuck it I don't care, I don't let anyone rain on my parade.

You know, being jacked and veins popping and having a decent build carries some weight. A lot of guys will think twice before trying something when the person is in better shape than they are. Plus, if I handle a situation very well, I'm so getting laid. 🤘
