Was taking the kids to the car and the 7 year old said, "E-YUU!"
I said, "What?" Then went over and said, "E-YUU!"
It was intestines from some animal, about 8 inches by 8 inches, still bunched up. I thought, "Whaaa?"
No blood trails, no other meat, and all centrally located in about a foot by a foot.
My first thought was the wife left the cat out.
Then I thought maybe a neighbor cat or dog got hit by a car, crawled into the yard, then a Hawk ripped out the exposed intestines and took off with the carcass, but there was no sign of this on the road or across the yard?
I don't get it.
Maybe a Hawk swooped down on a rabbit, tore out its guts, then took off with the carcass?
Luckily I called the wife and she said she didn't let the cat out, but I haven't seen it all day.
Any guesses as to what or how it happened?
Luckily it was trash day so I shovelled it up, put in a bag, then dumped it, whew! Yard still stinks like hell though.
