I figured I'd post this. It seems like many mates are getting here or are already there. Age-wise. See EG if you need help. Our medical REP. If you see a lot of specialists like. Urogist, Foot Doctor, Endoconogist, etc. Medicare is a better option. Here is the catch. You would have to buy a Part B plan for prescriptions. Eye doctor, is not covered, dental is not covered. But no co-pays to see a doctor, and all exams are free. You don't need to get referrals for a specialist.

Advantage Plans. They cover prescriptions, but with a co-pay. If admitted to the hospital, $900.00. Need referrals and will have a co-pay after every doctor visit. Every state and state differs. See attached clip for more.

If I can be of any help. PM me. I care. I started online and 1800 CallMed. It was and still is a service to help those with no insurance or issues with meds. This is an international problem. Without saying too much. I'm glad I helped many. Big Pharma is a thief. They control our government. They don't care about then common man. I am speaking from someone who served. My county.

I have paid all my life into Medicare and took full advantage of it when I turned 64 and 9 months. My pension pays the cost of Medicare Advantage and Social Security pays for part B. I had total shoulder replacement for $250 doctors are $5, lab work is free. Specialists $10. All of my prescriptions are free. I can go to any doctor I want. ER visits are also free. There is a $400 annual deductible and they also pay for my gym membership. I also get some coverage on dental, hearing and eye care but do have separate policies for dental and eye. MEDICARE Advantage chose not to cover my TRT or HGH, I just pay cash for the expense instead. In all I am completely happy with Medicare Advantage and my wife will be eligible to apply in a year. But my pension also covers her insurance.

My advice is go with the Medicare Advantage. Medicare only pay 80% so you have to cover the 20%. Medicare Advantage is a separate insurance coverage that covers the 20% and has minimum co-pays, most also cover medicine which Medicare does not cover.

Yea I’m getting mix signals. The mates I’m helping say Medicare Advantage is killing them. Medicare is a monthly premium. I only know this because of the meds requested by mates. They think it’s cheaper getting certain items from boards or online.

From what I’m reading states have certain other programs ect. I didn’t look up all of that. I just wanted to see if I could help mate’s get their meds discounted better. There is a lot who get meds from online. Just because of the issues with this. I’m not there yet. But I care. But thank you for info mate. Hope others will follow.

Medicare by itself has no part D which covers prescription medication. So I have no doubt your prices are better than what they will pay at the pharmacy. But Medicare as a stand alone usually free except for Part B. Usually social security pays for part B. I have never had to price Medicare Advantage from the market because my state employee pension covers my health care. So they made a deal with United Health Care and I pay a very minimal monthly fee out of my retirement pension monthly for it. They also pay a separate policy for my wife.

The only complaint I had with Medicare Advantage is their medical board decided that my doctor was wrong about me needing to be on TRT. I was at a serum level of 300 and felt like shit but they thought I needed to be at 260 feeling like shit. No big deal, I can easily pay cash or get UG test cyp. They absolutely will not cover HGH so I get my own too. But I have about 8 prescription meds I have been prescribed and the only one I have to pay anything for is Eliquis. They even approved Metformin for life extension purposes. My wife's insurance is with Blue Cross of Texas. She has a damn $1600 deductible. But the monthly cost for us is about $200.

Yes, absolutely, each state offers different features for Medicare Advantage and it changes every year. For me it makes no difference since I am a retired Texas employee. My retirement package does all the bidding for my health insurance and all I had to do at 65 was just file for Medicare and give them my number. My wife's policy covers very little on prescription meds so we have to do things different. I use to order from India for her but now we will probably get most of it from Mark Cubans pharmacy. It is damn cheap and our doctor can send scripts directly to them.

The good thing about having United Health Care is they are huge and they and Medicare pretty much tell doctors, hospitals and pharmacies how much they are going to pay. My ortho may charge me $600 for a visit and UHC will send him $115 and all I will ever owe is the $10 co-pay. Lots of doctors don't like working like this but too fucking bad. We have tons of friggin' doctors here in Houston. Hopefully you can help some of these guys out avoiding the high costs of medicines. Its like Eliquis.....retail it is about $700+ per month. I pay $70 for 90 days. But that is the only med I have to pay anthying for.

B Tex. This post is spot on. These were their complaints. I’m going to lower my prices for those that need survival meds. Blood thinners is a big one. If I can help. Let me kno

Yea, blood thinners is a huge one. I have to take Eliquis for life so it is kind of a big expense. My wife needs Prilosec and CVS wanted to charge over $400 for a 90 day supply, with insurance. I get the same thing from India for about $15. Our pharmacies are thieves. Prilosec is a friggin generic and should not cost so much. Especially when I get mine with no change. But then her insurance sucks too.

For those close to Medicare, make sure that 3 months before you turn 65 you apply online. Medicare will mail you your card pretty quickly. Once you get your Medicare card, you can then shop around for Medicare Advantage policies. All they will need is your Medicare number. Its not near as hard and they make it out to be.

Thanks EG for all you are doing
