I'm thinking about having gyno surgery a month or two after I'm done with my cycle. I have been researching this topic for awhile now but keep getting different answers so I figured I'd ask them here.

How much does it cost?
Will it come back?
I know its an out patient procedure but how many days did you have to spend in bed doing nothing?
How painful is it?
How long was it before you got back into lifting and cardio?
Is there any way to get your insurance to cover it?

ive had gyno surgery and it was well worth it! i highly suggest it if your unhappy and feel you need it. you will feel much better about yourself. i had gyno long before touching AAS, mostly from heredetary reasons.

as far as price goes that depends on where you live and the doctor you go to. My procedure was around $8,000. as long as the procedure is done correctly, with removal of the glands and fatty tissue it SHOULD not come back. ive run a cycle since with no problems.

It is outpatient, and the first hour or two after were the worst. if felt like i took a shot to the chest from a shotgun. but as soon as the pain pills kicked in it was smooth sailing from there on. there was surprisingly VERY little pain and discomfort involved. i really didnt need any pain pills about 3 days out, but i took them anyway just bc they were there...lol. you will most likely have drains installed for the first three days or so. which are just more of a nuisance than anything just becasue you need to empty them every few hours. i slept sitting up untill they were removed. you do have to wear a compression garment for about the first month after, but it cant be seen under normal clothes. complete healing will take about 6 months. you will continue to notice an improvement in shape and coutour of the pectorals.

As far as getting back into the gym...i worked SLOWLY back into lifting after about 4 weeks. but that will all depend on your recovery, what your doc says and how you feel personally. i had surgery thurs and was back to work the next tues. but you need to just be careful and dont push yourself. listen to your body and dont to anythin that feels its stressing the area too much. better to be safe than sorry.

Research your doctor well and pick a good one. dont scimp to save money. it will be well worth the extra in the long run.

if you have any more questions you can pm me. i can give you my doctors info depending where your located. he is outstanding

if ur going to get it done make sure u remove the gland

there are very little to no scars. they cut around the areola and reattach it to remove the tissue. so the scar follows the natural line where the areola meets the skin. use cocoa butter to help the healing and your good to go. there are small 1/16 inch incisions where the drains are inserted. but they are under your chest along the bottom and are so small they disappear without scarring.

as far as insurance. most to all cosmetic procedures will not be covered unless its in regards to an existing medical condition. its almost impossible to get it paid by insurance. but most surgeons offer financing through their office.

a guy at the gym just had it done early last month, 10 days later he was messing with 315 on the bench. Not sure how normal that is.

I've had it done a year ago. Best thing i've ever done. Only one unhappy part. I use to have big pecs. When he did the procedure, also got lipo. Fucker took damn near all my chest away. Whats left IS all muscle, look great though.
Gonna get the mid section done in three weeks.
