One of my students in a college class I take told me she fired her nutritionist because she found ChatGPT could do a better job. Holy shit....I have a master's degree in nutrition and can do any kind of diet from the bottom up but for me variety and food selections is a real pain in the ass. So I gave ChatGPT a try. If you do this the more specifics you can provide the better it will come out. I include the calories I want, and then enter specifics on the macros, I also specify 3 main meals with mid-morning and mid afternoon supplements. I do get very specific about supplements and timing. After that I exclude all food I will not eat like vegies and dark meat chicken or fish. I just did a 3 week menu for a Greek oriented Mediterranean Diet. At the end you can get a PDF copy of the macros, complete diet and a shopping list. Once you get this done you can tweek and changes you want.

Here is a sample of day 1

Day 1

Breakfast (750 kcal food + 186 kcal shake)

  • 3 scrambled eggs in olive oil
  • 2 slices whole grain bread with feta & honey
  • 1 banana
  • Shake: whey + 3 oz milk
Mid-Morning Shake (895 kcal)

  • ½ serving Forzagen + whey + 8 oz milk
  • 5 dried figs
Lunch (900 kcal)

  • Grilled branzino with lemon
  • Lemon rice pilaf in olive oil
  • 1 slice sourdough bread
  • Grapes
Mid-Afternoon Shake (895 kcal)

  • ½ serving Forzagen + whey + 8 oz milk
  • 1 apple
Dinner (1,050 kcal)

  • Roast chicken breast with lemon & oregano
  • Orzo in olive oil
  • Fresh melon slices
Evening Snack (500 kcal)

  • Greek yogurt with walnuts & honey

 
I think she should have stuck with the nutritionist in my honest opinion as that person would know more about her training level, general health than AI would. AI is indeed getting better and better and perhaps have her compare this plan with the plan the nutritionist had provided.
