So I just finished school, and have a lot of debt from student loans. However I am about to start a job now and my life is just starting out. I really need a loan to buy a car for the job but due to my credit, debt ratio I am having a hard time getting a loan. I also have a chargeoff of 100 dollars form 5 years ago my roomate didnt pay the utility bill and it was under my name and i had moved out. Is there any way i will be able to get a loan or am I just dreaming??

Bro, pay the $100 bucks to get that taking off. It will help... Not sure what you are looking for but Mitsubishi has a first time buyers program or had... Check that out. Student loans do show up as debt and I dont know what your payments is but keep them up. I see tons of people coming in to the dealership I work at (chevrolet) and cant get a loan because they havent paid their student loans... Most lenders will be more concerned with time on job at this point... Work history and credit history have to go hand in hand these days... Like I said, call and see or go online to see who has a first time buyers program... Salesman will tell you they do to get you in so ask them with which lenders... You may want to try a local credit union if you are a member. Do you have a parent that will co-sign?
Good luck bro and dont let every dealership pull your credit... It will kill your score.

I would pay the 100 bucks in a blink of an eye but the company refuses to take it off my credit. SO i say FUCK YOU. lol

About parents cosigning , its teh whole reason I am in this mess. I wanted to buy a use piece of shit car for a 1000 bucks from a friend. But my mom kept insisting to buy a better car longterm and she signed for a loan. Everyday i have had the car, I keep hearing her nagging till no end. Its to the point where she controls when and wehre I can go out. So i said fuck it, I will try to get a loan and refinance teh car under my name, or Just buy my friends 1000 dollar car and use that while still keep paying my monthly payments on this car.
I swear sometiemes family hurts you more then they can help. Sometimes I feel i am better off without their help, cause now i am worse off then where i started. GRRRRRRRR,
