I paid for a 12 week coaching with Branch Warren last year. I probably started at the wrong time diet wise since I hit all of the end of year holidays including Jan 1st. But I was motivated and pretty much stayed on track. He asked what I was using so I told him. It was 500.cyp a week and 4iu's hgh a day. My goal was to build muscle while losing fat. The training regimen was brutal. The diet near impossible. But I did it. About week 7 I was really not recovering as quickly, in spite of all the proteins I was consuming. And in spite of all the food intake, I was dropping weight, which was what he wanted to see. But back to my story, I was in pain all the time. And at 68 at the time recovery was an issue. So I called him, and was like Branch, dude, I ache all.over. I'm just not recovering like I was early on. I'm going to.increase my test to.750 a week. He's like, no don't do thst. Increase you growth to 6iu's instead of 4. Surprisingly it worked. So there's a question here. Why did the growth work in speeding recovery better than the test would have? My thinking was he didn't want me gaining any excess water weight, when everything else was geared to losing water. I'd love to hear what you guys think?
 
At 68 all of the below slow down drastically. So while you can do the workouts, recovery is going to be an issue. Kudo's to you for being able to handle 6iu.

Warren is a very knowledgeable man. Glad you have to opportunity to pick his brain. More testosterone would speed up muscle specific recovery but since you seemed to have more joint pain, HGH is better suited.




 
Thanks. That was very helpful. I train several exercises per body part, as I'm sure most of us here do. But one exercise with the compound movements I'm going as heavy as possible for 8 reps, per his instruction. Bench and squats are the worst, because I can move a lot of weight. But then by the next week I wasn't healed yet. So it makes sense what you said.
 
Just curious as to why Branch decided to have you go 8 reps as opposed to 6, 10 or 12.
 
on legs it was squats. Biceps, dumbbell curls, triceps was skull crushers. Back was dumbbell row, chest was incline dumbbell press, shoulders was front raises. If I've left any part out remind me. Most everything else was high volume, drop sets. Like a 90 rep set on leg presses, 30, 30. 30. Or cable curls 45 rep set, 15, 15, 15. Leg day was especially brutal.
 
Damn old dawg kick ballz for hitting a Branch routine at your age! Besides Yates and Ronnie, Branch and Johnny trained balls to the wall - intense AF with some serious heavy weight to boot. Are you running pharma GH or generic like black tops or whateva? You prolly wanna keep an eye on that blood sugar dude - make sure it doesn't stay too high since upping the dose. If so, adding in a lil slin will help keep it in check.
 
I guess I should have stated thst the 8brep sets, which was the lowest number of any sets was 8 reps to failure, whatever weight thst happened to be for the corresponding exercise

It was intense. The exercise routines were brutal, but the six meals a day was hardest. At first I gained a bunch of weight fast. Then it started coming off fast without a lot of adjustment. I was shocked to be honest. I'm not running 6 ius a day still. I'm at 3 every night before bed. I bought a lot of hdh last stock then bought a bunch from someone else privately here. Black tops. 188iu per kit
