After having a serious conversation with Darkness about how to add more quality calories into my diet we came up with the idea of a homemade protein shake. We both kinda agreed that most whey protein is a waste if you want to pack on mass and don't take that statement the wrong way whey protein has it's place. So we brainstormed and I came up with this. Egg whites Greek yogurt peanut butter honey and oats ran thru a coffee grinder to powderize them I guess you can add scoops of whey powder but I wanted something quick and made of real food to help up the calories.

So post up the recipes guys and gals.

I eat almost all just real food, but sometimes when bulking i eat a 60 gram whey shake and eat 2 or 3 scoops of natural peanut butter with it.

I do real food too, but having a shake made of all "real food" can be pretty convenient to add a meal. What ozzy describes is really a meal only liquid. Something you can make AND eat in 5 or so minutes.

I like to kick in some olive oil to drive the fat cals up

Damn how could I forget the olive oil! We even mentioned that!! And big Willi and I talked about olive oil too!! Hell I just had mrs oz grab more at the store

Thats a cool idea ive never thought of the olive oil before.

Olive Oil is a huge and important piece. I go through a ton.

I always use natty Peanut butter ,whole milk , Egg whites and honey mixed with 1 scoop whey protien chocalate.
throw it all in the blender right before bed and Damn good good .Delicious

anyone ever try whole eggs, tuna, and cottage cheese and water/milk?

i basically swallow chunk tuna whole, not sure if I could stomach that shake.

If I'm desperate and out of protein I go old school and crack about 10 eggs into a glass and drink em pwo and try not to puke it back up.

Guess I keep it simple and I don't need to get dramatic with calories to put on the kind of weight I think is decent weight. 4000 cals during intermittent periods in a bulk is all I need. 4 whole food meals and 2 shakes a day. So it's basically whey with Greek yogurt or added eggs or egg whites.

I use a vita-mix. 4 cups raw milk, 1 cup raw oats, 16oz cottage cheese and a frozen banana.

My post workout shake when bulking is a scoop of whey isolate, about 1/3 cup of powdered skim milk, a scoop of natural peanut butter, a scoop of ground oatmeal, a couple of eggs, a 1/3 of a scoop of dextrose, and for my old ass a little fiber powdered. I drink it with a couple of protein digestion enzymes.
