For many years I considered getting a Harley. Different excuses over time kept it on the back burner. It didn't fit the snarky, inner city special education teacher motif, but in the end, neither did I. Many times out riding with my best friend (who passed in July 2016) I would've preferred American Muscle over my BMW. I love my Beemer and ran it hard for 27,000+ miles over the past 9 years. It was truly tested and ended up tried and true, pushed me through many tough spots, but thinking this week, how cool it would be to ride into Washington, DC with fellow American Vets for the inauguration, thinking of my fallen brethren, or anywhere else that is, I finally challenged myself with the question: If I were a Harley, what would I be? I need shoulders forward, narrow hand-grips, heavy forks and meaty wheels. I came up with the new 2017 Breakout. Only thing is I would prefer a seat higher than 24", any suggestions?
PS: My friend left his Harley to his 23 year old son who I've know, along with his sisters, his entire life. Lives in Florida. Be a nice reason for a road trip.
