Interesting article I was reading about a man, with the help of science, plans to help humans live beyond the normal life expectancy during this lifetime within the next decade.

interesting. Didnt read but the first few pages of it. Seriously would you want to live for 1000 years? If you are religious then what do you think that God would think of this? There would be extreme overpopulation. Im no scientist but living 1000 years wont happen to us. The body gets old and worn out no matter how healthy you are..thats just how it is.

Yes, overpopulation was discussed as well as how the body ages. With the scientific approach, all forms of aging would be reversed with this method. The guy who came up with this idea sees aging as a "disease" and is looking to have it "cured."

Im aware of what he was talking about. STOPPING ANYTHING from aging though is of course in my opinion impossible. Slow it down, yeah I could see that. But we are soft tissue living things with intricate organs that wear down regardless of diet and health. Use it long enough and it can only go so long. Thats no disease, only life. He has some interesting insights on the matter though dont get me wrong. I just dont see it being possible to do..ever

yeah I'm thinking a few more months lol.

This world is why I highly debate ever having kids. That is if I ever get a gf first.

My children are the blessings of eternity.
They are sometimes difficult, manipulative, and gleeful...ahhh, just like me basically!
Wouldn't trade 'em for anything!
The world can go crap in a bucket,
we are survivors, fighters, but we too shall die
(but hopefully not in the next 45 years)!
 
might be just me.. but i dont wanna get old let alone live decades past old...

That is so depressing! Someone else trying to play God! Where is Dr. KVorkin (sp?) when I need him..... just my 2 cents worth.
 
If I thought there was any way in hell that I was going to have to live to be 1000 years old I would have lived life at a little slower speed. Are you shitten me. I hate seeing people get old...Let alone getting old myself....F-That

Anything after 80 is a bonus as far as I'm concerned....
