First time in my life i managed to go thru a full week of 6 meals a day program without cheating or missing a meal.
Wow, the results are great and i am loving it. My energy levels are very high, I don't get sleepy during the day, my recovery is better and overall i feel denser, much less bloated. I am never hungry and I actually end up forcing some of the meals down my throat. I am usually a very hungry person so this is great. Carbs become a problem about once every 3 days. After 2-3 days of salad, veggies, lean meats and egg whites, I crave a lot of carbs, so I eat more carbs once every 3 days or so. It is acting like an auto carb cycling mechanism.
I hope i can continue this trend for the rest of my life.
I know there are a lot of you out there who want to do the same thing, but keep on falling off the wagon. 2 simple things made this process very easy to deal with.
1) Get pre-made meats, salad and veggie mixes that has been cleaned washed already. This is more expensive and from an organic whole food point of view, it's not the best option, but what it does for you superceeds all the negative about it. When you are going to eat 6 times a day, it gets boring, hard sometimes impossible to cook 6 times a day. Even cooking once every 2 days and portioning it is very hard to do for long periods of time, unless you have the discipline of a professional bodybuilder. So you get lots of pre-prepared foods, open the package get a portion of veggies+salad, a portion of lean meat, dress it with your favorite salad dressing and chow down. It takes 2 minutes to prepare your meal so no matter where you are or doing what you can eat your meal easily. For the meat, I choose vacuum packed roasted chicken breast, turkey breast, sliced pastrami, marinated beef strips all of course pre-cooked. Wholesale grocery store's are your friend when it comes to this.
2) The alarm feature on my phone. I sat down one day and figured out 3 hour intervals, took the times where I am in class out ad set the alarm for the whole week and put it on auto repeat. When the alarm reminds me every time i need to eat, I actually go an eat. If I tell my self, yeah I am gonna wake up and eat 6 meals today, I always miss one or two, I eat too much, or not enough or don't do it the next day. The alarm schedule brings discipline to the whole thing.
