Anyone here into music?

What do you play?

I am a guitar guy. I play terribly... There is far more quality in the construction of my guitars than in the quality of my ability to play... Read: I'm not good... But I enjoy the hell out of it.

I am an old metal guy. So I do enjoy cranking my amp and hammering away at riff's after a challenging day. And when the house is empty. And when I'm sitting in my office supposedly working... or when I'm in the house in general... :) I'll even bang away when trying to pay attention on a conference call...

Makes me realize how so very much I have to learn.
I'm struggling to get the feel that you just oozed in those clips bro.

I'm an old metal guy, and it's been tough to back off of that stuff and plug into some real feel like you're doing.

Good excuse for me to to dial in that EVH amp and hear how it sounds recorded.

It won't be cool and bluesy; but it will be sharp and metallic. :-)
 
This is actually my first attempt at recording anything. I have a friend who's a pro. So the quality blows. This is a fairly popular metal song by a band where I having a passing acquaintance with one of the guitarists. So I'm a huge fan.

Sorry for the shitty quality. A super over driven amp, and a guy who has no clue how to properly mic things is a bad combo.

Yes sir it is. A Les Paul Standard Plus specifically. Picture doesn't do it justice.

And the other is one of the new USA made Charvel and USA Peavey EVH Wolfgang.
The amp, also EVH 5150. It is the best amp ever. Only 50 watts, and a smoking deal. I'm thinking about getting another set up like that simply because they'll probably stop making those, and the prices will go up. If you're even pondering an amp, look at the EVH 5150's.
