Finally...............in my mind we have a president who really understands the needs of our nation starting with the populace.

It will be a long, arduous road to achieve his visions but what he stated should hold true to all Americans regardless of race or creed.

Since the 1970's I've wondered exactly "what are we doing"? You cannot accept the short term benefits at the expense of the long term which includes the future of our descendants.

at this point in his presidency, after George W. Bush supposedly STOLE the election, and the American people supposedly HATED him, his approval rating was 62.

and Obama is going to face much harsher times and much lower approval ratings than Bush ever did if he doesnt start meaning what he says. his promises and actions are 2 very different things thus far...if he wishes to be the savoir all these liberals have preached him to be he better grow a backbone. for starters, instead of attacking the CEO's of every major company and forcing automakers to build cars noone wants like hybrid tin boxes...Americans want big cars put wheels on a aircraft carrier and we would drive it...its our culture. Trucks that if you can chain your neighbors house to and pull it to the next county if you want. SUV's that seat your entire extended family for the Yankees game, cars that go 0-60 in 3 seconds. if you can give us that AND 40mpg, great! but dont force us to buy some little box powered by rubber bands that cant even move its own weight. Giving out money, and then just printing more to make up for it does absolutely NOTHING but decrease the value of our American dollar even more. And forcing companies to spend money certain ways is nothing but Socialism

Obama, along with the american government should set an example. He should cut the pay of every elected official, and offer to serve the Presidency for free for the next 4 years. he knows hes set, whats a meager 300k a year when after this is all said and done hell get 2mil just for a single speech. Why not set an example for the rest of us? even if its just as a PR stunt. then maybe it would show the American people the government is serious. shouldnt our government be forced to cut back also just like the rest of us? all this finger pointing and bitch fighting over rediculous things needs to stop, all the while our government officials are living as large as ever. A pay increase for the Head of the Government Run Postal Service while their going bankrupt and debating canceling mail service on certain days of the week? come on...and if FED-Ex was doing this u better bet they'd be under the microscope.


if the American people dont start seeing some change very soon Obama is going to be facing dwindling support. They're already setting us up for the failure of some of these policies. telling us its going to get worse before it gets better etc. thats common sense!! but the liberals are preaching it now so its less of a letdown to the people when things arent fixed tomorrow.

This problem were facing is going to take a years to fix, not weeks. Obama promised immediate relief in his campaign, and when the dissillusioned lower class that was the majority of his voters realize this isnt going to happen over night...hes going to face scrutiny

and if Obama was so concinced this baliout was the holy grail, why would he have spent SOO much time lobbying for Republican support he didnt need??? If they were so sure this was the solution, the democrats would WANT to pass the bailout with little to no republican support so they could rub it in the faces of the Republicans! If they passed this and it worked with no republican support that would be the end of the republican party as we know it.



Obama and his people need to grow a backbone and do what they say and mean what they say. just my 2 cents...and what do i know

Barack Obama

President Barack Obama has unveiled his $3.6tn (?2.5tn) budget for 2010, aiming to pull the US out of financial crisis.

He has predicted the budget deficit for the current year will be $1.75tn, which is 12.3% of annual output and the biggest since World War II.

In some cases I'm sure that's true. For me, I just don't like the idea of a stimulus to be honest. Japan tried that over and over again when they were going through a serious recession/depression and it never did a damn thing. I don't know why certain people in congress think it will work for us.

My opinion of Obama has everything to do with his political decisions. If he does good things for this country, I will surely be happy and praise him for it. But so far, all I've seen him do is give pretty speeches and try to appoint tax evaders in his cabinet. He has advisors stating that jobs created by the stimulus shouldn't go to skilled white workers. I mean, I guess I can live with that, so long as he makes a car that runs on water...

Along with that, he himself as well as members of his cabinet seem to really have a problem when people express views that oppose him or his administration. To me, it's almost like they try to bully or intimidate other US citizens when said citizens don't agree with what they're trying to do. It's fucking ridiculous to think that we have a president surrounded by people who think like this. People should be able to say or think whatever the hell they want to without having to worry that the Obama gang will come after them.

Nothing he's done so far (and believe me, I know that it's early in his presidency) has impressed me or made me think that this is any new form of politician. But what the hell do I know?

well we all know the chances of any of those things happening are about as good as uncle rico finding a time machine to go back to 82. Give me an Escalade that runs on water and ill drive it. but its not gonna happen.

Global warming is the biggest government created hoax since the kennedy assassination.

Our government wants to save our economy? then stay out of it!! didnt they learn anything from the mistakes they and rosevelt made last time around?? Wana save our economy then support small business, the free market system, the BACKBONE of our country. keep your fingers out of our pockets and keep your noses out of our business! strengthening our economy nationally will strengthen us globally. cut government spending to set an example. Again handing out free money, overspending in the government, and issuing government pay raises, then just printing more paper money is doing absolutely nothing but decrease the value of our American dollar even more. Then telling people how to spend that free money they gave out, thats now worth nothing, is just another step on the march to socalism.

They forced american auto makers to build hybrid cars that noone wants, and we all bought foreign cars. bankrupting american auto makers. GM takes a bailout and they will be the governments puppet. I mean telling already bankrupting GM they MUST keep building a car noone wants is sure to send them down in flames completely.

The government wants to issue policies to help the economy? instead of worthless bailouts, how about tax credits if you buy an american car? and giving perks promoting Americans to support AMERICAN businesses to stimulate growth nationally!

im not republican or democrat...but Obama's arrogance and say one thing do another attitude are repulsive. and looking at the facts, hes going to face more than what he bargained for making promises he cant keep. thats all.

Whether it's Obama or any other president. For quite a long period of time, is it not right to think that there may be other long-term influential groups or families that really are in control of things? Most of us tend to think of the short term, and I'm included in that aspect. I won't even begin to start anything about any of that here. It's just food for thought.

If he could....and would do those things, he would have my support. But the fact is, he can't and won't and this address appealed mostly to the mindless liberal sheep who are thrilled to have a strongly pro-abortion, non-religious BLACK man in the white house, and are willing to believe any mumbo-jumbo this spin-doctor spits out. When the dust settles, all this stimulus bill will have done will be to insure the top state officials have new cars and money and our grandchildren will still be paying for it 30 years from now.
