Overheard in the locker-room

No, it wasn't heard from a naked guy thank goodness!
I was getting my stuff and a 20-something guy said ot another guy, "Hey, did you see that guy out there with the spandex shorts on? How can anybody wear something so tight, blah, blah, blah..."
Finally, I couldn't resist, I said, to an older guy there, (mid 40's and built from years and years of lifting), "He should have been around in the 1980's, everyone wore spandex then."

He laughed, "yeah really!"

Seriously, how many of you guys wore spandex shorts!
At least you didn't have to worry about people trying to look up your shorts while benching.

Alright, who wore the spandex?
I had a pair, they were very comfortable, and it wasn't that weird because just about everyone wore them.

I had some in the 80's. I just got some recently and they call them compression shorts now. I got them because I'm trying to train a little so I can walk/run a 5K with my daughter and not have my thighs burst into flames from the friction. I put some regular shorts over them so my trouser treat doesn't stick out too much.

I wore them underneath regular shorts. Thick ones that helped keep my hips and legs warm. i use to do a lot of biking and the bike shorts with the padding to keep from damaging your junk were like spandex. I use to wear those when biking. With a pump in the legs after biking they would make your legs look pretty sick and your junk didn't stick out because of the padding.
