sorry about my spelling to start with. I have a dear friend who was recently diagnosed with Parkensons disease. I heard and read that creatine is a very helpfull supliment for this. Does anyone know what facts are to support this?? If so, any other products I can recomend for him. He is a young 72yrs old btw.

The best thing to do is ask the Dr. what supps can effect the meds your friend is taking.

Many supps out there will cause certain meds to not function properly.

Also diet is very important. Protein can interfere with the absorbstion of certain meds as well. So im sure the Dr. will have some sort of diet plan.

As for the creatine, I have read a few studies about it helping but have never heard a Dr. recomend it.

Check this site out. It is used alot in hospitals and family practices. Has great information on just about anything you need.

I know an excellent naturopathic doctor who claims favorable results in treating Parkinson's and other neurological disorders with Fish Oil, which he feels is due to the high levels of DHA. He also uses Calcium/Magnesium in a 1-1 ratio.
