Let's face it, GWB made it easy for Obama to get in office/ He dithered his way through two terms and nobody was going to vote for John McCain as he was too similar to GWB. Obama's campaign speeches were vibrant and, as he's quite a bit younger than McCain, many thought he would be more in touch with the "Real World".
So, a new president is sworn in promising, among other things, "Change". The global recession was well under way before he got in but one of the first things he did, from what I've seen over here, was to pledge unimagionable amounts of US tax payers' money to bailout fucked up banks. Our own halfwit, Gordon Brown, followed suit and did the same over here, so it leads to the consciencious question; why are they pouring money into businesses that couldn't balance their own books and have already lost stupendous amounts of cash, won't the same thing happen again? The same people are in charge of the majority of these banks, albeit after a swap around, has this fixed the problem? - has it fuck!
When I was growing up, I always wanted to live in America, from what I saw on TV and heard from people who had visited, it seemed amazing. Nowadays, thanks again to TV and you guys, it seems like a nightmare!
The nightmare, as is now more apparent, seems to be caused by a small(ish) group of elitist group of mega greedy (money & power) lunatics who have no regard for anyone or anything but their own, kind of like the ruling Royal families of feudal Britain where you either toed the line or got banged up.
I've never been heavily into politics, I never used to give a fuck but it is being thrust upon me and each of you guys every day. My belief, is that the only way to halt these fuckers is to down tools and stay at home. Throw a sickie and have a few days off work - everybody! Don't buy anything, no gas, no food (stock up before hand) keep the power off in your himes as long as practicable. The sudden drop in spending and productivity would make these fuckers sit up and take notice of people power, hey, they can't fire every one of you!
What's happening now is reminiscent of pre-Nazi Germany in the 1930's. Here's some comparisons, please do not take any offence to this, it is merely an observation.

The Patriot Act came about after 9/11, a National Outage at a terrorist act on US soil carried out by foreign nationals.
Other conditions fostering the rise of the Third Reich include nationalism and Pan-Germanism, civil unrest attributed to Marxist groups, the worldwide economic depression of the 1930s (spurred by the stock market crash in the US)
The post 9/11 feeling of Nationalism & Patriotism against an Islamic uprising against the US (Bin Laden's call to arms for Muslims to kill infidels of the "Great Satan")
Worldwide economic depression needs no explanation.
Many voters, seeking an outlet for their frustrations and an expression for their repudiation of parliamentary democracy which seemed incapable of keeping a government in power for more than a few months, began turning their support towards the far right and far left of the political spectrum, opting for extremist political parties such as the Nazi Party. The Nazis offered promises of strong authoritarian government in lieu of effete parliamentary republicanism, civil peace, radical changes to economic policy (including elimination of unemployment)
After 8 years of the GWB presidency, where almost every time he took to a pedestal to speak, he fucked up what he was trying to say, his head first jump into Iraq on the back of the WMD debacle and his utter incompetence, Obama, promising all this good shit was a shoe in for a win.
Now, don't take what I've written to mean that Obama has Nazi policies or is as mad as Hitler was, this is a comparison to what happened politically and how someone who 10 years previously wouldn't have a hope in hell of being the Principal figure of their country got to power, very strong public speaker, telling crowd what they wanted to hear and whipping them up into a frenzy, taking over fro a lame assed leader when the country was in financial meltdown.
The Rockefellers' ancestory, coincidentally, is German and if they and their associates are indeed the real power brokers in the States, they must have noticed the similarities between the two situations, over 80 years apart.
