Thank you! I put myself through a grueling endurance routine and can hardly drag myself outta bed. So I decided to figure this photobucket to website thing. It progresses very slow. But I've just been killing time anyhow.

Great pics Loke! You look more ripped and muscular than in any of the older ones.

Fuck ,you look like Ronnie James Dio in this pic..:D

Everybody looked like DIO in 89:). Here's another from around same time and still yet I don't look like RJD here. I'm trying to shy away from camera cause weed is kicking hard.

wow u play so do i. Nice axes

Yeah I'm 44 and have been playing since I was 14 y/o. Mostly self taught but studied classical for a few years (cause everybody that was into R Rhoades did). Influences are: Randy Rhoades; Eddie Van; Hendrix;M Schenker;Toni Iommi;Chet Atkins;Jerry Reed(rip);Segovia;Vivian Cambell;Malmsteen; Jimmy Page;Satrinani; as well as a host of others I no longer try to emmulate. I would have to give Jerry Reed the most credit for leaving and impression on me. For those have heard him really play and/or studied him, he was a virtuoso who possesed an understanding of music far exceeding just guitar. Hearing all the different voicings as he played makes it apparent that to him the quitar was just a toy that he could manipulate with ease. There are others lie this of course Steve Via is much like this. While I am an accomplished, I will never reach that level. It's just something I think you're born with and if your lucky you find the correct outlet/s to release it. Almost forgot Zakk Wylde. Great musician and person.

Hey, it's Rusty Jeffers!

Maybe with the shades on. He's got little beady eyes and I don't. While he may be a good guy, I can't stand that fuckers persona nor that dumb shit phoney ass show. I could swear (much like Springer) in the very beginning, it used to be real.

Thanks John! Not touched any sauce in around 3 years now. And now I can't. I've learned not just a lot about training but about how my body deals with different aspects of it. Now I more supplement my calesthenics with weights 2 sometimes 3 days a weeks instead of the other way around ofthrowing in some calisthenics supplementing weights. I've I'm easily susceptable to adrenal fatigue with more than 3 days a week with iron(natty). This is evidenced by ran down flattened muscle, horrible sleep, lethargy and lack of progess. However if I can do a 1000 pushups; 200-300 pullups; 500 body squats and situps damn near everyday and throw your basic heavy compound movements in a 2-3 times a week and stay energized and always look full. The biggest key(as most know ) that makes or breaks it all is timing of carbs, fats and of course protein. Now I'm not gonna win any award for my body as a bbuilder. But I can kick ass and still throw some decent sized weight(though nothing compare to when I was 40-50 lbs heavier)and I don't have the joint pains and ongoing injuries all the time. Only downfall is you detrain quick. That could also be age. Thing is it comes back just about as fast this way.

I have been playing for just under a year i play like 3 hours a day. I am influenced by jimmy page, eric clapton, slash, jimi hendrix, and angus young. I do like yngwie, randy rhoads and the likes but i have not touched on any shred stuff yet. I have a solid 30-40 songs i have mastered inside and out. I notice your a gibson man, i see an sg, 335, flying v. Pretty sweet guitars, i am probably going to go towards a tobacco burst les paul with a 60's style neck. I am waiting til i feel like i deserve it. Right now it is getting boring i need people to play along with i am getting tired of playing to backing trakcs and records. I also go to alot of concerts have been to like 50+ concerts i saw ACDC on friday night they blew the doors off giants stadium.

It is funny you mention zakk wylde i do not really care from him i think he plays with no feel and i heard he is a dick from a close family friend. I cringed when i heard him play with the allmans it was horrible.

This is the axe i really want

My first axe was a Memphis les paul copy. I was a piece of shit. It wasn't till I turned 18 while staying with my Gma that she made a deal with me, "Go down to the music store and pick you out a guitar that's 'stage worthy' and get a job playing music in a band." So I said to throw in some classical lessons and it's a deal. That Gibson SG was the one I picked(which years later I had my drummer/body man paint it the left over from my trans am 'midnight metallic blue'. God I was a stupid shit. Back during those days during the metal movement you just didn't walk on stage looking like the fat highschool janitor. As stupid as it now seems-If you didn't have cool gear and look Rock/Metal no one wanted you. I remember a club owner getting pissed cause I wasn't using Marshall stacks like was in our promo pack pix. He actually wanted to break the contract till he heard us live. Between that and the new fat bastard bass player- "He's not in your promo pix!!!" I'm like look fucker I blew the Marshall head, heard this Mesa Boogie and got it. That fat bastard may not look pretty but he's like this half stack Boogie amp- He rocks! Besides I shit already can the other bassplayer :) All that shit Literally changed over night when Seattle grunge hit. Then you could wear anything and look like shit as long as it was 'Seattle sounding". I remember the night ity happened: I was balls deep in this chick while my favorite Heavy Metal station was blazing away. Blazing in to a blur myself I heard "The Clash" come on. I'm stopped full stroke and asked "Wtf??? I thought nobody was here?" While she screaming "They're not! FUCK ME!!!" So I'm like "Hold on. Let me change that station . That's shit's fucking with my heads.". I get up and jack with the station producing no results refusing to believe it. Then they announce the station and that's the first time I heard Cobain! I'm like "wtf?? Get me the phone. I called our singer and he's like "yeah they're cancelling heavy metal acts all over Indy.". So I tell the chick to just fix me a whiskey & coke and just give some head cause now I'm not in the mood to fuck. Yeah it was that depressing. Anyhow I've been around Zak a few times he was nice and hospitable. Gotta say I like his playing(those harmonic squeals get on my nerves sometimes). That V in the pic in actually a" RRhoades Jackson V" But I also have a an 82" Gibson Flying V" that I smashed throwing like a spear( at a fuck who wouldn't get off my ass) into more than 5 pieces a Guitar luthier put back together for me that plays better than ever! It's been my favorite for about 20 years. I started using really heavy strings when I got it cause this guy wanted to always borrow it. Now light strings don't feel right and no one but me ever wants to play it.

ahhh i just read your post, wow even though u are older than me i am only 25 i remember when grunge came out and i was like this is nonsense, all power chords, no guitar solos. its funny you mentioned the memphis les paul copy lol that was slash's first les paul type guitar lol. It is also funny you mention moving to heavier gauge as i just did that a few weeks ago. I was using super slinky 9's and i moved to bottom heavy top skinny strings, and it is a much better sound, those 9s go out of tune quick and lose elasticity really easy. Plus i notice i have strong hands i bend out of tune alot with 9s
