here is one example, if God is saying a homosexual will not inherit the kingdom of God (heaven) than how in the world can you think he would make a person born gay? that would be making them born WITHOUT a chance? God gives ALL humans free will to choose which way to live, PEOPLE choose their OWN sexuality, God does NOT make people Gay. I stand on my beliefs and NO ONE can persaude me on this issue, NO ONE. I am sorry I choose to believe the bible over ANY man's word.

God allows things to happen as a direct consequense of an individual's wrong decisions. Sometimes God allows the sins of the parent to follow the children for generations. The Hindus believe in the cosmic laws of cause and effect...KARMA. Walk in front of a car .....get run over. God does not MAKE things happen, but He will not interfere with the workings of the cosmos, especially pertaining to free will....except through the intercession and power of prayer! Most people little understand the power of prayer....combined with faith.

You can't pray for someone to love you or agree to do something they are strongly opposed to or anything that would take away their free will. You CAN pray for God to make them see things clearly and realize they are on the wrong path.

So now I ask G4E and other good Christians to join me in heartfelt prayer for our homosexual friend KClifter, and help him understand the fundamental truth and wisdom that is a natural gift to good right wing Christians everywhere. Amen.

And Lord, please help antihero too, he's a good guy, just young and confused. :D
 
I know a guy who married his high school sweetheart. She was a friend of my ex-wife and I can well remember how this girl mooned over her boyfriend and got hysterical and in tears if he was late in calling her. Never saw anyone so "head-over-heels" in love. Well, about 10 years into married life she is having affairs with wealthy clients (men) when in Chicago & New York on business trips. Husband gets private eye...he takes photos....she pays alimony!

After the divorce is final, the girl decides her problem is that she was gay all this time and never realized it. Pleeeeease! Tell it to someone who didn't have to hear you whine and cry on my wife's shoulder when your boyfriend was a little late picking you up. :rolleyes:

So you are saying that god is responsible for the way a person is born, being handicapped or retarded or mentally ill in any way except for being gay which is a choice? I just want to make sure I understand you. I should make clear I consider myself christian like. Meaning I try to be a good person and treat people with respect and kindness. But I have never read the bible and don't go to church.

JB I'm just laughing at you now. I knew it would come to this childish behavior eventually if someone tries to fight the gay bashers. For one I am not gay and as far as I know you are. Most gay bashers are closet gays satistics say.
 
One more thing why can't you extremist have a normal coversation without throwing personal attacks toward someone. I really question what kind of people you are these devout bible thumpers who pick and choose who they are good to. It's people like you guys that are destoying this country and I'm sure I wouldn't want you living in my neighborhood. yes God ALLOWS people to be born with handicaps, as stated before God ALLOWS things to happen but does NOT mess with free will, everyone has a choice in life to choose good and evil.

And do not take this wrong KC, but if you were a true Christian you would capitalize God, and also the word Christian.

too see God not capitalized really irks me, it is like a slap in his face IMHO.

and this is not a slam on you, it is just My respect for my creator.
 
I can't help but think about what you guys are saying in his thread all I can do is laugh. Scary part is I know you're serious. Because what you are saying is it's ok to treat people bad as long as it's in the bible. G4E you remind me of a guy in kansas rev fred phelps who goes around the country and protest funerals of gay people. I really don't know how that guys has not been killed by now I would love for that to happen. I know it doesn't make me a good Christian to wish death on anyone but oh well.

KC you know when someone on a board post something followed by a smiley that means they are joking. I PERSONALLY know John Benz, and he would NEVER call someone gay, if he was not joking. Seriously John Benz is so kind he would give you the shirt of his back. He is one on the most honest sincere guys you will EVER come across on these boards.

But you have to KNOW him to understand his posts. John does not hold his tongue when it comes to certain issues, John is a dedicated Christian man, and he speaks his beliefs according to his beliefs in the bible. You will not waiver his beliefs, no matter what, I agree with him on 99% of things because I have read the bible, am very familar with it, and I feel it is the truth. If you choose not to believe, that is the "free will" we speak of, you have a choice and so does everyone else. either you accept God, and that includes believeing every word in the bible

~OR~ you don't accept God. there is no choice #3 in life, it is one of those 2 choices, there is nothing such as I accept God but only believe part of his word. It is all or nothing my friend.

and I edited your post because like I mentioned, please do not bring people into this discussion who cannot be present to speak on their behalf. I should hope you can respect that.

a lot said in this thread, trying to catch up but want to get something out there before I forget :) I honestly don't care what political party a candidate comes from, so it's not a question of Demi or Republican. The fact is the Bush administration is by far one of the worst administrations in our history. If you don't believe me, wait 10 years and see what the history books will say about him lol. From their illegal "voting" practices(advice you to watch Hacking Democracy), to the planned 9/11 attacks from our government, you almost got to be blind not to see whats going on here. And as for G4E's comment about him being richer then all of us, that statement sums it up Bro. The rich get richer and that's all he's doing, he never gave a fuck about the American people. If he did, he'd demote himself. I will agree that I personally am in no position to become president, and a lot of smart, and dam good Americans aren't also. But I will assure you this, if I ever got the chance, I would do it in a heart beat. Our US government has been going down hill now for quite sometime. Great Presidents like Lincoln must be rolling over in this grave. More I can say, but that basically sums it up. Bush is scum, and I can not wait to get him out of there..

I don't mean to get off the topic but watch Bill Maher if you want to find out what's really going on. I'm serious like I've said before he cuts through the bullshit and really gets to the truth. He exposes all kinds of shit that's going on that I know idea about.

Not sure if that's even possible. Lately I've been told by offline friends that I'm a caveman (he said that was a good thing..lol), another one said I'm a Jurassic and the nicest one told me he thinks I am living in the wrong time, keeps calling me a mountain man. Even if I was only a mountain man that would make me over 100 years old!!! :D

I agree completly about you never get anywhere. It's like you'll never see 2 people rationally discussing their opinion on a abortion. It always turn into an arguement. Same with religion and politics. Now if people could take their emotions out of the discussion I think it would be possible to discuss any isuue that you differ on.
