Just bought a new LG 52" LCD at Best Buy. 80,000:1 dynamic contrast, 1080i the whole bit. Got the new platinum HDMI High Def cables etc all that good shit...
They offer a "calibration service" where they come to your house and change the picture settings internally via computer to supposedly enhance the picture and improve quality. and also in turn is supposed to increase longevity and life span of the TV and decrease electricity consumption.
But its like an extra 150bones. Just wondering if its really worth it? or is it just a gimmic that Best Buy is trying to push bc its a service they offer and tryin to get more money outta me?? Anyone with knowledge on the tech behind this? thats not bias bc they work at best buy....
thanks!!
