Well not really a test, but I have been doing this PWO. Dextrose is used PWO by some because of it's ability to cause a high insulin response and allowing the body to absorb protein in the muscle at a fast rate. This has been out for what seems forever, but how many people are actually doing it right? People will usually mix in their protein powder with the dextrose and immediately drink it after a workout. The idea is right, but doing it this way won't actually get you the response your looking for. Why? Well lets look at digestion. How long does it take your body to take in the dex and cause that insulin spike your looking for? Right away? No, it's probably closer to 10-15 min. This would mean mixing your protein with your dex would be a bad idea. You want the insulin spike present before you take in your protein. How it should be done? Take your dextrose right after your workout. Wait 10-15, then take in your protein shake. Doing things this way will insure you'll be getting the best bang for your buck from your PWO shake
